The signs and symptoms usually develop gradually and may quite difficult to determine at first. This may include the feeling of weakness and fatigue, excessive thirst as well as frequent urination. This is mainly because the body would try to eliminate the extra glucose in the body through urination and at the same time, the constant loss of fluid would naturally make one feel constantly thirsty. Other signs include abnormally slow healing of the gums or skin infection, blurred vision and even genital itching among women. Unexplained weight loss may also be a warning symptom of diabetes.
In some cases, people who have developed diabetes reported other symptoms such as dryness and itchiness of the skin, dry mouth, unusual pains and aches, and even impotence. The important thing to remember here is a person may not display all these symptoms and there are even some cases where no symptoms ever manifested at all. Of course, the best thing to do to monitor your health condition is to make frequent trips to the doctor for regular checkups. With all these in mind, we all need to be more attuned to the changes occurring in our body and be more conscious on what we do and how we feed it. By starting to know what are the symptoms of diabetes, you can grow more conscious on what needs to be done.
